This Spinach-Artichoke Flatbread is a deliciously creamy and cheesy appetizer or snack featuring a blend of spinach, artichokes, and cheeses spread over crispy flatbread baked to golden perfection. Perfect for a quick party dish or a satisfying light meal.

Ingredients

Flatbread Base

  • 1 store-bought flatbread or pizza dough

Spinach-Artichoke Topping

  • 1 cup frozen spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1 cup canned artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. This ensures a clean baking surface and prevents sticking.
  2. Prepare the Topping Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the thawed and drained spinach, chopped artichoke hearts, softened cream cheese, sour cream, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir thoroughly until the ingredients are evenly combined into a creamy mixture.
  3. Assemble the Flatbread: Lay your store-bought flatbread or rolled-out pizza dough evenly onto the lined baking sheet. Spread the prepared spinach-artichoke mixture evenly over the surface of the flatbread to ensure every bite is flavorful.
  4. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes. Bake until the edges of the flatbread become golden brown and the cheese topping is bubbly and lightly browned.
  5. Serve: Remove the flatbread from the oven, slice into pieces, and serve warm for the best taste and texture.

Notes

  • Ensure the spinach is well drained to avoid a soggy flatbread.
  • You can substitute fresh spinach, but cook and drain it thoroughly before use.
  • Feel free to add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
  • This flatbread pairs well with a crisp green salad for a complete meal.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated in the oven to retain crispiness.
